The paper bag in which Expresso newspaper is delivered to readers can be customed with advertising. This was the format chosen by international school TASIS to communicate the opening of one of its schools in Portugal, which joins three other campuses located in Switzerland, England and Puerto Rico. The schools academic programme focuses on the arts and athletics under the motto of the supreme ideals Verum, Bonum, Pulchrum (Truth, Goodness and Beauty).

The history of TASIS Portugal dates back to 1956, in Switzerland, when the founder of The American School in Switzerland (TASIS), Mary Crist Fleming, decided to open a school in Switzerland geared to the education of young Americans and other nationals in Europe. At the time, the purpose was to thoroughly prepare students for American colleges and universities, with the added advantage of exposure to cultures and training in languages other than their own.

TASIS has now expanded to several other countries with schools and summer programmes where the aim is to encourage students of all nationalities to strive for academic and personal excellence towards becoming committed global citizens and innovative leaders.

This educational establishment decided to expand its family and branch out to Portugal in 2020, in Quinta da Beloura, Sintra.
