SIC CONNECTED EVERYTHING THAT CONNECTS PORTUGAL TO NOS ALIVE

In 2026, SIC was a media partner of NOS Alive, turning the partnership into a multiplatform operation that began nine months before the festival and continued long beyond its three days of music.

The idea was to give NOS Alive the scale of a true cultural event. To achieve this, SIC and the brands across the Impresa universe – from SIC Notícias to Expresso and Blitz – were present before, during and after the festival.

The build-up began with news, interviews, editorial content, social media, competitions and TV activations. Over nine months, NOS Alive became increasingly present across SIC’s news and entertainment programming and the Group’s different platforms.

When the festival began, SIC took the operation inside the venue. There were 34 reports and 18 live broadcasts on SIC and SIC Notícias, while “Primeiro Jornal” was broadcast live from the festival and daily live programming from the venue featured Carolina Patrocínio, João Moleira, Sílvia Lima Rato and several reporters.

Music also took on a new dimension: 51 performances were broadcast free-to-air on OPTO, across three dedicated channels, while SIC Radical broadcast 16 concerts. The Foo Fighters concert was streamed in full on OPTO worldwide, while Buraka Som Sistema reached SIC’s main channel.

And the experience continued on digital. More than 60 posts across Grupo Impresa’s brands reached over 3 million people and generated more than 6.5 million views, while six podcasts recorded live at the NOS Há Live space generated 54,818 downloads.

Overall, SIC and SIC Notícias’ editorial content and broadcasts reached 4.6 million people, almost half of Portugal’s population.

NOS Alive happened inside the festival grounds, but lived far beyond them – a true experience, on and beyond the screen.
